I’ve been clara in the nutcracker! (pretty much you run around with the party girls, receive the nutcracker, fall asleep, wake up and fight some rats, then watch the variations from a little thrown in the corner) its still fun though!

I have to love this movie, whether I want to or not. Now this is ballet!

Long, hard, tiring, demanding, powerful, endless… and if it’s done right–beautiful, magical… and a superhuman triumph over what is considered mortally possible.

These ladies, their goregous long lines, fine feminine grace, their exquisite power and those powerful legs which seem to have evolved to the point where those girls themselves might be able to fly…

Cinevox seems to be a #go-through station’ and has produced some amazing later soloists: Wataru Shimizo, Japan, for instance, ex.-cinevox, now with van Cauwenbrgh at aalto opera, Essen, germany. Thank you, cinevox!

Agreed! Ballerinas muscles are generally small but well-defined and rock hard.

Hello!those pointshoes were painted with stage make-up exactly for the reason not to shine with the stage lights.That’s how we do.:)

i believe they were referring to the fact that their muscles aren’t very bulky.
but ballet dancers are, in fact, immensely strong.

ballerinas arent muscular?? not to be rude but i think you should re-watch the video and look at there legs they are actually quite strong and muscular

i’ve been taken ballet for 11 years now and it is wat i want to do for the rest of my life and these girls are good i mean really good but i did see quite a few mistakes
