Defend her being a beginner all you want, but if someone’s trying to show you how to do something they should really know how to do it themselves first.

you should not hear a thump if she was on ice it would crack and she wwould fall in

Pretty good for a beginner, but what yu have to remember, is that while performing a glissage, you want to see the postiion as long as possible so you see the movement cleary in mid-air so you look weightless

That was awful. Her knees barely went over her toes and were completely uneven.

beautiful

She maybe a beginner but she is changing her lead foot in between glissades and she needs better work on her technique. She has potential!

I understand that she’s a beginner and all, but WHY would you make instructional videos WITH SOMEONE WHO CAN’T EVEN DO IT?
Maybe i’ll go and upload some carpentry tutorials. I mean yeah sure i suck, but you can all give me the benefit of the doubt because i’m a beginner right?

This is crap!!!!!! your shit! no affence but in the rad syllabus you dont do first postion glissades and you strech in between! you cant even say changement right!!

this is looks easy,, i dont do ballet but i am intrested instarting it..i looks beutiful if alot of people are doin it
December 9th, 2011 on 5:52 am
all of these videos are simply useless. you have to enroll in a REAL ballet class to learn ballet. especially beginners. if beginners learn it the wrong way when they first start, then when they start taking real ballet classes, they will have a terminal bad habit

if you dont like it then dont watch it

I have been doing ballet for eight and a half years.I am inly nine, but you are jumping in your glissade.

December 9th, 2011 on 6:45 am

December 9th, 2011 on 7:45 am
lol her arms is in second position xD
December 9th, 2011 on 7:57 am
I get that she is a beginner, but wouldn’t fellow beginners need a good example? People also learn by imitation and I’m sorry to say this you really shouldn’t imitate that girl
December 9th, 2011 on 8:08 am
@fredrika27 but it doesn’t teach you the CORRECT fundamentals. Without SOLID CONSISTENT and PERFECT performance of the fundamentals people hurt themselves when they attempt to do things beyond their capacity because they have bad form, incorrect placement, use the wrong muscles, and the list continues…

i think it was great

For people on here who are bemoaning the fact that the student is not a professional dance, that is the point! For years we have had the so called “professionals” show us how it is suppose to be done with poor results: people left dance because they couldn’t obtain the high standards set by professional dancers. Dance “NEEDS” these videos because the “professional” have failed in their duty to make their art accessible. Don’t believe me? Look at all the bashing going on here.

@cheriobaby1113 Yes Yes! please do some stretchs for the turn out muscles. Because my ex-ballet teacher keep saying TURN OUT TURN OUT.. and i thought gosh if the muscles were stronger they would. Miracles can’t happen overnight right. So, I would reallly appreciate if you can do some exercises that will help one reach the 180 turn out. Thanks

@TheGymlovers1 i would practice a lot of plies because they are simple and you can go slow to make sure your form is correct. if you stretch and practice a lot, you will find it much easier to be in fifth position. and if you’re going to practice with another position to build strength, i would use first position. hope this helps and let me know if you would like me to make a video explaining any of these things!
